Project detail:
The private company has project already in existence for common effluent treatment plant & receiving primary treated effluent meeting with inlet norms prescribed from various dyes & dyes intermediates and other chemical units. In addition to this MEE for concentrated effluent is also already functional after having required permission from GPCB. Also a spray drier for concentration stream is under installation after obtaining required permission. Both of these unit are independent and will not have any inter-dependency with functioning of CETP.
Because of the said endeavor, the hydraulic capacity of NEPL, CETP is now adequate enough to increase the receipt of effluent from 3 MLD to 14 MLD, considering the additional 11 MLD effluent to be received will be having low pollution potential having low TDS & low COD and it will be always possible to achieve desired prescribe norms. As the increase in the receipt of effluent from present consented capacity from 3 MLD to 14 MLD
CETP of NEPL having capacity of 3 MLD receiving primary treated effluent meeting with prescribed inlet norms from the member units of GIDC Estate is already functional since last @ 20 years. With a view to meet with norms prescribed for its treated effluent several modification, alteration and addition were carried out, over a period of last 20 years. As a result the present hydraulic as well organic load capacity has become equivalent to 14 MLD for a combined effluent having low COD & TDS. In view of higher capacity of upgraded CETP and AMC directives, to accept sewage from GIDC & residential area in around GIDC, it has been planned to increase the receipt of sewage & primary treated effluent from textile units within the estate, to 14 MLD. The treated wastewater will be pumped to mega Pipeline of AMC. The letter from AMCA for disposal of additional quantity of effluent i.e. 14 MLD to mega pipeline.
