Project detail:
Type of project including interlinked and interdependent projects, if any Sand mining will be carried out by open cast Semi Mechanized mining method, as the entire area is on riverbed. There is no development in the mine, as there is only scooping of sand, directly from river bed. The sand shall be excavated by backhoe and loaded into tippers. The depth of the working will be upto 1.00 mt (max). The sand will be scooped to a depth of 1.00 m only. The mining operations involved are scooping and loading the sand into the hired/owned Trucks/Tippers. Heavy machinery shall not be entered into the Reach premises. Semi Mechanized Method to excavate sand with machinery like backhoes (JCB) comprising bucket capacity of 0.60 cum and load the excavated sand on to tippers. Combination of man and machine is Semi Mechanized Method of mining.
Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region In the present scenario, Ordinary Sand has good market in the country for domestic consumption. The Ordinary sand has been an important raw material for construction and other infrastructure purposes.
