Project Title :Plans To Revive The ‘Night Market’ Culture And Stadium Project In Jharkhand
Company Name : Government Of Jharkhand
Project Detail :After success of the ‘Night Market’ concept introduced sometime back at MG Road, covering the busiest avenue, Albert Ekka Chowk, Chief Minister Raghubar Das directed the Urban Development department to revive the ‘Night Market’ culture and begin it on a pilot basis at Jaipal Singh stadium in order to boost employment

Holding a review meeting of the projects undertaken by the Department of Urban Development, Housing and Planning, the CM said, “Temporary arrangements will be there at the stadium to provide employment to small vendors after 3 AM

The CM asked the officials to make blueprints of major urban projects keeping long-term prospects in the view. “The planning for the development of the State should be done according to the long term needs. The development of the state capital – Ranchi including other cities of Jharkhand should be such that it becomes a role model for other states of India,” the CM stated

The CM said that there is no shortage of money; the only necessity is a right planning and implementation of plans on time. The CM instructed the officials to complete all documentation tasks soon while implementation of projects should begin after monsoon season without any fuss

Taking up the issues of ISBT and Transport City in Ranchi, the CM instructed them to set up Transport Nagar on 40 acres of land at Sukurhuttu and speed up the process of making the bus terminal in 25 acres. The Urban Haat will be built on the land lying unused near Ranchi Lake

The CM also directed the officials to create ‘Ward Committee’ for the convenience of the people of every city. Through ‘Ward Committee’, the common people will be able to resolve their minor civic issues

Further, the CM said that the development of Smart City must be done after drafting a proper road map. Besides taking up the construction task, other civil works such as underground pipeline, cable, gas pipeline, road etc. should be done simultaneously. A proposal for operating electric buses was also discussed during the meeting

While discussing about water scarcity, the CM said that the concept of water tanks has become obsolete. “Supply water by making underground sumps instead of building water tanks n the city. It is cost- effective,” the CM stated

The CM also asked the officials to develop waste to energy plant under the Solid Waste Management system here on the lines of Jabalpur

Taking up the issue of maps sanction, the CM ordered the officials to pass the maps in a fixed time frame, if the residents have an updated receipt and mutation. Similarly, the CM emphasized on making rules for one-time settlement of deviation in the map on small plots. However, the CM asked the officials to ensure that the Real Estates, builders should not get a license for any deviation

Also, the officials stated that over 35 parks are to be constructed across the State, out of which six have been completed

Urban Development Minister CP Singh, Chairman of Housing Board Janaki Yadav, Chief Secretary Sudhir Tripathi, Development Commissioner DK Tiwari, Divisional Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Sunil Kumar Barnwal and other senior officers were present in the review meeting
