| Project Detail : | The Delhi government is likely to approve the project of installation of 1.4 lakhs CCTV cameras in Cabinet to be held tomorrow. According to the sources, the government is not keen in giving the responsibility of monitoring the CCTV cameras to Delhi police. The installation of CCTV cameras in Delhi remains a subject of controversy with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government and the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal fighting over the control of the project. The installation of CCTV cameras in Delhi was one of the key electoral planks of the AAP in 2015 to improve the security and safety of the citizens.
