The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is giving final touches to underpass that will provide seamless connectivity between SMS Hospital and trauma centre opposite to it on Tonk Road According to JDA officials, 90% civil construction work has been completed and project will be soon thrown open for the public. The (JDA) has constructed a 24-metre long underpass between SMS Hospital and trauma centre. On either side of the underpass, the civic body has constructed, that could easily ferry patients on stretcher trolleys and wheel-chairs,” said JDA official It was further informed, once the underpass is built, patients and their relatives will not have to jostle in traffic and commuting would be risk-free. With the rise in the number of accidents on the road, hospital administration had earlier asked for connectivity between the two premises several times. Moreover, the crossing between two buildings also has heavy traffic congestion The JDA has also constructed 22 shops on either side of the underpass. A three-feet footpath has also been constructed in front of every shop for attendants.
